Dock Cleaning notes

At Norwalk Leander, we have ice and snow, ducks and geese, so it is easy for our dock to become slippery! Please, first rower of the day, ensure the dock is swept and cleaned.
Thank you, this is for your and everyone else's safety!!!

Rigging notes

At Norwalk Leander, rigging is very important in squeezing optimal performance out of the boats and oars. Please ask any coach or experienced rower for advice and/or measurements.

Coxing Instructions

Good coxing is as important as good rowing. We have a Nielsen-Keller cox box on charge in the boathouse. After use, please replace and re-charge.

Juniors' Squad
In 2008, for the first time, NLRC took in a small intake of novice juniors, to learn from the more developed rowers. This program yielded promising results, with the crews racing at the end of the season. In 2009, Foster Hays established a juniors, training program up at Shelton on the Housatonic river, and intend to race throughout the summer season.

Ladders
NLRC maintains its competitive spirit by promoting erg and sculling ladders, this improving fitness and technique.
